Solar & Storage

We invest in solar and storage projects.

We will invest hundreds of millions of dollars in purchasing near-term and operating solar and storage projects, as well as land.

NuGen is a one-stop shop for every phase of solar development and energy storage. We handle the financing, development, construction and operation, and management. Our strong relationships, healthy balance sheet, and track record of success make us the perfect partner to bring new energy solutions to your business and community.

From rooftops to carports, to landfills and more, our country is filled with underutilized spaces in need of creative, productive use. By partnering with communities and landowners to transform these spaces into engines of solar generation and storage, we support hundreds of new jobs and bring long-term reliability and security to our energy grid.

What Sets Us Apart

Our cross-sector experience in energy solutions, real estate, and finance – and our more than 15-year record of success – uniquely qualifies us to operationalize complex projects, particularly when it comes to transforming underutilized spaces into cutting-edge solar and storage assets.

While we are experienced in working with outside investors, we have the capability to self-fund our projects.  With that optionality, we don’t need to wait for funding to come through. When we partner on a project, our focus is on the project’s long-term value. We’re there from the beginning, and we see it through to the end.

We are a team of expert problem-solvers and creative thinkers with a passion for collaboration. We work with businesses, property owners, industry professionals, and other interested partners to identify and execute infrastructure solutions that fit their unique needs.

How We Work

With NuGen, you get the same team from start to finish – from origination to development, construction, project completion and management and maintenance  – throughout the life of the project. We take pride in being a full-service partner, and our top priority is meeting the unique needs of each customer.

Learn More About Services We Provide

Operations and Maintenance

NuGen directly performs all operations and maintenance services on our portfolio of projects, rather than outsourcing those services to a third-party firm. This ensures that every project receives the highest degree of response time and attention, as well as ensuring consistency in the expert team overseeing the work. We proactively monitor all assets 24/7 to identify and immediately address any issues and guarantee peak production.

Monitoring

NuGen’s data monitoring protocols allow for best-in-class real-time monitoring of all our assets, with customized alarms, reports, and data analysis that meet the NuGen standard of excellence. Data from the DAS system can also be integrated into monthly invoicing to provide a visual representation of the monthly system performance for all our customers.

Customer Service

NuGen provides a seamless invoicing process each month. By putting a high value on customer service and responsiveness, the NuGen Finance Team will put together a comprehensive invoice providing a visual table of the solar generation for the month. All net metering energy credits/savings are verified by the Finance Team to ensure our customers receive the maximum benefit available. If any discrepancies are found in the utility’s allocation of customer savings, the Finance Team handles the process from start-to-finish with the utility.
